Event information
The ‘MERIDA Hidden Vale 24HR’ is a Solo, Team Relay and Kids mountain biking event starting at 12pm Saturday and finishing at 12pm Sunday. Riders compete for medals, prizes and bragging rights.
It’s a weekend filled with camaraderie, Easter activities and fun that you’ll never forget! Spectators are welcome, so if you want to come and get involved in the atmosphere and excitement of the MERIDA HV24HR weekend, feel free to either utilise our free day parking area, or book yourself a camp site, and stay the night to cheer on the riders all the way through to lunch time!
Anyone who can ride a bike can do this!
Decide as a team how many laps each person rides – do 1 or a whole bunch. If 24 hours is a little intimidating but you still want to be a part of the action or looking to introduce someone new to the sport we have a 4hr event that could suit you! Take it on Solo or as a Team.

2024 Event Course
A mass start sends you straight up the wide farm road towards the Skills Park (1st lap only). Take a left turn into Aeroplane, go past the Plane and turn right for the first descent of Fairy Wren. At the bottom splash through the creek swinging right towards Dandy’s this is where you put down the power! Dandy’s is an all time favourite at HVAP with the famous 30m log bridge and a series of flowing turns, a true highlight of the 18km course. Once at the end shift into the big ring and punch your way back towards the Skills Park before selecting an easier gear to spin up the Woodworm climb.
Kids Course
Mass start… Skid through Pit Lane while waving to Mum and Dad. Exit right and downhill towards the Bridge on Gully – check your brakes and prepare for a left-hand turn. Select an easy gear or stand up to grind up Buckshot. On approaching the top turn left and it’s an easy pedal back on Reload back towards Event HQ. Take another right turn and head up the road before turning left onto the bottom section of Plane Sailing where you’ll reach top speed before registering your lap time when crossing the Timing mats. Repeat this as many times as you can for 24 minutes.
